AFSCs were related to the vehicle maintenance field, although our Ground Power Shop belonged to the flying group
and was located by the flight line |

While Gene Garzone was serving on Air Staff, in late 1984 he received a message from
TAC. The writer mentioned Flight line Support Equipment (FLSE), that was a time when nobody really knew what to call
AGE and we answered to several different names. Gene went to the policy branch of aircraft maintenance, and within a
few weeks, the name AGE was reborn. 1985 is the year the Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic officially returned. |
